Junior FDA reporter (Washington, DC)
TITLE: Junior FDA reporter (Washington, DC)
SALARY: $45,000 - $55,000
LOCATION: Washington, DC
EXPERIENCE: One to two years
DESCRIPTION:
Endpoints News is seeking a junior FDA and policy reporter to join our growing team in Washington, DC.
We’re an ambitious specialty publication with more than 160,000 subscribers, and we publish three newsletters a day covering the waterfront in the biopharma industry. In this role, you’ll cover breaking news on Capitol Hill, at the FDA and other government health agencies in Washington.
The right candidate has one to two years of experience covering health policy or Congress, either full-time or in a combination of internships. Past work covering biotech or pharma, for a trade or specialty publication, is a strong positive.
Stories range from a few hundred words on fast-moving news items, to longer reporting-driven pieces on policy developments, drug pricing and Congress. We’ll ask you to react to news but also to chase it, and we’re busy enough that there will be ample opportunities to hunt scoops and for ambitious candidates to get involved in bigger coverage.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our senior editor who covers the FDA, as well as our team of news-breaking journalists across the US.
